CAROL M. MONACO

With 25 years of marketing and market research experience, Carol Monaco specializes in helping businesses and solopreneurs understand their markets and customers, find and size the right markets, and improve their marketing strategies.

Carol’s own journey in marketing began after she graduated with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. Learning about human behavior fascinated her and she has brought that enthusiasm to her marketing work. After earning an MBA from Duke University, she joined the corporate world in marketing.

After a few years sharpening her marketing skills at small and large businesses, including USA TODAY and Hewlett-Packard, Carol took the leap and started her own business.

With her unique sociological perspective and background in human behavior, Carol brings a deep understanding of customer needs and why people buy products and services. She is able to bring a laser focus to her research and marketing projects, quickly identifying key variables for client success. Her skills in research and analysis and breadth of experience working with a wide variety of clients further enhance her marketing expertise.

For 20 years, she has been helping clients gain greater insight into their customers and markets. She helps clients: determine what new products and services to offer and how to position them; understand how current products are perceived in the market; identify target markets; create sizing and forecasting models; identify customer pain points; and clearly articulate benefits and value propositions.

Carol lives with her husband Jim and three cats in Brighton, Colorado. (They are holding firm at three cats, because one more would make them ‘that crazy couple with all the cats.’) Carol has been a board member of the Society of Professional Consultants and President of East Boulder County Artists, where she exhibited her wildlife photography. She is also is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator which led her to found Wild Once More Rehabilitation Center and serve on the board of Sonflower Ranch Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
